We saw them on the runways, we saw them on the streets of fashion capitals. Lace-up ballerinas became an unpretentious statement piece in the daily combinations that every girl can wear. And, they did. Fluttering dresses, jeans, mini skirts or maxi dresses – all these pieces of clothing represented the ideal base for the street style looks inspired by this pair of shoes.

Just like almost every shoe model out there, lace-up ballet flats have their splurge and cheap version. Some of the very first models were presented by renowned Italian shoe brand Aquazurra and Gainvito Rossi. These flats have become particularly hot and trendy in the colour of black, while some fashion brands played around with shades such as red, black or white. On the other hand, if you are on the budget,  check out for your pair of lace-up ballerinas in the high street stores like Zara or Mango.
