Somehow, we have to ask ourselves what happened to this year’s red carpets? Indeed, the Academy Award 2017 red carpet was pretty plain. There was nothing spectacular going on except the fact that Emma Stone (the best actress in “La La Land“) and Viola Davis (the best-supporting actress in “Fences”) both took home their first Oscars.
Back to fashion. It’s really hard to resist the feeling that Hollywood stars are playing on the safe side, making the white (non) colour the colour of the evening. There were so many stars wearing white gowns (with or without a little bit of sparkle) so those few in bright colours seemed almost unnoticeable.
Once super popular red carpet colour, red, seems to lose its glow or celebs just got tired of it? We don’t know, but you can find its replacement in the form of gold and silver.
There wear also were several attempts with colourful dresses, but were they successful?
