Accessory trend: brooches

New face of old jewelry trend.

Long past the days when the brooches were synonymous with elegant, but older ladies who wore classic tweed suits and mid-high heels. This may be a stereotype, but the good news is that’s finally changing. Especially if you take a look at the latest runway accessory trends for this winter.

Many will agree that Miuccia Prada launched an avalanche by putting on catwalk voluminous mostly floral inspired brooches, while, on the other side, Karl Lagerfeld and his design team almost every season incorporate recognizable Chanel brooches in the following collection.

This winter fashion houses Balenciaga, Fausto Puglisi and Les Copains joined them, each with their version of sophisticated old fashion jewellery. Everyone had their own interpretation, whether it is 3D flower shapes, butterflies, bugs and other creatures, simple brand logo or some unspecified forms. Some of them mixed it with other massive and chunky jewellery, some just put all the attention on the brooch. Brooch just became an accessory that we will love to wear!
