SS16 trends: ruffles

Not so romantic anymore.

Everyone knows the ruffles as a truly romantic and feminine trend that always make it to the spring ‘most desirable wardrobe essentials’ list. However, this season ruffles were given an edgy, almost grunge charm, making them a real spring statement even for the tough girls.

Fashion designers known for the clean lines and minimalist style such as New York-based Proenza Schouler and Jason Wu embraced the ruffles on their catwalk in a subtle way, while super sexy Balmain and Roberto Cavalli gave the frills a seductive touch.

On the other hand, Michael Kors, Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen and Anna Molinari for her second line Blugirl chose a classic romantic, yet still, very bold style for their runway looks. Having so many different versions of this trend actually make us very happy – you can easily customise it to meet your needs.
