Somehow, we have to ask ourselves what happened to the red carpets? Seriously, Academy Award 2017 red carpet was pretty plain. There was nothing spectacular going on except the fact that Emma Stone (the best actress in “La La Land”) and Viola Davis (the best supporting actress in “Fences”) both took home their first Oscars.
Back to the red carpet. It’s really hard to resist the feel that Hollywood stars are playing on the safe side, making the white (non) color the color of the evening. There were so many stars wearing white gowns (with or without a little bit of sparkle) so those few in bright colors seemed almost unnoticeable. Once super popular red carpet color, red, seems has lost its glow or celebs just got tired of it? We don’t know, but you can find its replace in a form of gold and silver. There wear also were several attempts with colorful dresses, but were they successful?
